Kybella is a prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin, also referred to as “double chin”. This medicine destroys fat cells with deoxycholic acid, once the fatty cells are destroyed your body will naturally flush them out. Most patients will need two – four Kybella treatments to achieve the results they want. One single treatment consists of a maximum of 50 injections. Kybella injections have to be given at least 1 month apart, it does take up to six weeks to see results. The after effects of Kybella is swelling, bruising or “bullfrog neck.” If there is less fat to destroy, there will be less swelling.
